Kendra Martin is a Tennessee native with a passionate and tenacious spirit. Since childhood, she has dreamt of silhouettes, draped materials, and textiles. In her debut Spring Summer ‘18 collection, Kendra actualizes those dreams as she transforms women’s work wear into a dramatic and vibrant experience. Kendra designs for the career woman who desires to look professional and fabulous! Inspired by Spring/Summer themes, most pieces can transition, spanning other seasons. Versatility is especially important to each garment design and its particular accessories. Not only can these garments be worn from season to season, but they can easily translate from weekday to weekend! The Cuban culture in Miami--femininity, transparency, color, and contrasting textures--is central to Kendra’s inspiration. Every garment has a story, and its evolution has an intentional narrative in mind. Original Tropical and Floral prints, the designer’s own creations, are aesthetically paired with stretch velvet, satin, chiffon and Faille textiles. Intricate draping, pleating, and couture techniques embrace the natural curves of a woman’s body and conceptualize the vibrant female spirit. The Ken.drama woman celebrates every moment and lights up every room!
My consumer research in preparation for my debut SS18 collection.
My target customer has a passion for culture, color, and business. She needs bold, elegant, and versatile fashions, due to her busy lifestyle! I wanted to bring color and print to my customer's closet, taking inspiration from the Cuban culture in Miami.
This board represents some details that I wanted to incorporate in my collection including versatile fabrics, satin, pleating, and hand illustrated textile prints (bottom right.)
These illustrations were realized using Illustrator and Adobe Draw. I designed two original textile prints that were utilized: Saydee Rose Print and Saydee Springs Print.

This is a collection that I have created using my own Trend Analysis for 2019. The 2000's will be back with ICONIC nostalgic sensations for the Adult who loved shopping at Limited Too and Claire's.
My first lingerie collection which was inspired by Japanese Art, Nature, and Geishas. I used Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to design these beautiful garments. Not only was this my first lingerie collection but it was also my first time illustration floats/illustrations in Photoshop.
I designed original textile print designs and lace repeats for this collection.
I really enjoyed illustrating each of these floats in Photoshop.
KIMIKO- SAMURAI
KIMIKO- SAMURAI
This collection was inspired by the Samurai attire and fierce attitude. I incorporated stronger textiles, Japanese Art, and innovative silhouettes/ features for the coats.
I designed simple textile prints to compliment my detailed embroidery.
This coat is very versatile due to all of the separate sleeves and skirts that can be zipped on or zipped off!
